IT: System Requirements

Follow

Ear Works 4 is a Client-Server application.

Only one computer in the network runs the Ear Works 4 Server Components and each workstation runs the Ear Works 4 Client Application.

You can install the Client Application on the machine running the Server Components. See this article for more details on the application architecture.

Below are the system requirements for the Server Components and, separately, for the Client Application.

Please note, Ear Works 4 can not be installed on Microsoft Windows 2000 or earlier.

Regarding the infrastructure, for best results we strongly recommend a Gigabit LAN (local area network) . This is not mandatory but it drastically improves the data communication speed on your network and all network applications will benefit from it, including Ear Works and NOAH.

Server Requirements

The Ear Works 4 Server Components are based on a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express instance.
